Solar that suits UK weather

You don’t need endless blue skies. Modern panels still produce in diffuse light and on overcast days — that’s most of the year in Britain. We size systems for your roof orientation, shading, and usage so expectations match reality, not a postcard from Spain.

Why choose solar PV?

Lower bills

Generate electricity when the sun’s up and buy less from the grid. Pair with a battery to use more of what you make overnight.

Cleaner energy

Cut carbon from your household electricity. Every kWh from your roof is one you’re not importing from the grid mix.

Built to last

Quality panels are typically warranted for decades; we help you understand performance and what “good” looks like over time.

What a full install usually covers

Exact packages depend on your quote — ask us to confirm access (e.g. scaffolding) and any extras so the number you see is the number you plan for.

Solar FAQs

Straight answers — no fluff.

It depends on how much you use, how much you generate, whether you add a battery, and your tariff. Many homes see a meaningful drop in bought electricity; some push it much further. Use our estimator for indicative figures, then we’ll tighten this with a proper design.

No. Panels produce in daylight, including cloudy and low-light conditions — output is lower than midsummer noon, but it’s still real generation. System design and inverter choice affect how much you capture at the edges of the day.

The FIT scheme closed to new applicants. New installs usually use the Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) — you get paid for excess you export, subject to supplier and meter setup. If you already receive FIT, adding equipment can have rules — tell us and we’ll flag what to check.

Many domestic jobs are a day or two on site; larger systems or battery add-ons can take longer. We’ll give you a schedule with your quote, including scaffolding and access if needed.

Often not for standard roof-mounted domestic solar under permitted development — but listed buildings, conservation areas, and some flat-roof setups can need approval. We’ll advise once we know your property.
